Great Britain team manager Alun Rossiter has agreed to be the special guest at the next Monarchs 100 event which is a Burns Supper at Danderhall Miners Club on Saturday 20th January.
It's been a great year for Rosco who took Great Britain to this year's Speedway World Cup Final in Leszno, but perhaps more significantly won the British Premiership title with his initially unfancied Swindon Robins. Also of course the Robins' no. 1 Jason Doyle won the 2017 World Championship last weekend.
Alun is well known to be a very sociable character and is looking forward to the night. He is actually an "Honorary Emmerdale", member of the Monarchs' well known fans social group, and says "They just seemed to take to me and made me a member!"
Former Scottish star Kenny McKinna who was special guest at last year's event has also accepted an invitation to attend again and reckons he and Rosco have one or two tales to tell of trips abroad.
Tickets are £30 plus a 60p booking fee and will be available shortly. It's a three-course meal with a dram, plus the Rosco session. The Danderhall Miners Club is at 88 Edmonstone Rd, Danderhall, Dalkeith EH22 1QU and is a slightly larger venue than last year's though tickets will still be limited.
